Pinball Monster

This breaking pinball news is just in at Perverse Osmosis. Our intrepid reporters have claimed that a new pinball wizard has been crowned. The twist: the wizard is a monster.

In the coastal city of Krakenheim, several reports claimed that an unusual seal climbed out of the ocean, found the classic pinball game Medieval Madness, and morphed into a attractive man with bright eyes. One eyewitness, Stevendor Mallethamer, is quoted as saying, “He flopped right up there, he did. First, he was a seal, then a man. I know I have been hitting the ale pretty hard since the raid on Djekul, but by Kord’s axe, I know what I saw.”

For more than four turns of the glass, this stranger played the game; at one point, scoring several multi-balls in a row. One local claimed, “The lights and sounds couldn’t phase him because he kept making this barking sound whenever something happened. I don’t know if he was casting audible glamour or what, but that wereseal could play some mean pinball.”

After eclipsing the high score, the man is reported to have stopped playing to return to the ocean. An unsubstantiated allegation claims that he robbed a local fishmonger on his way out to sea. Local representatives of the Greyhawk Pinball League were summoned and validated the score. At least one spectator was amazed: “It is one thing to break a high score with flexible wrist. But that guy didn’t even have a wrist; he was just hand and arm.”

A local troubadour has already constructed a ballad of the event.
